Are drivers able to receive tips?

Yes! Passengers will have 3 percentage options for gratuities: 15, 20, and 25. Plus, they can enter their own amount. You are also permitted to accept cash tips.

How much do drivers make on average?

Most GoVetted Drivers will make in the $15-20/hr. range, though your numbers will vary based on seasonality, your activity, and time of day.

The goal of a GoVetted Driver is to always be moving with a passenger in the car (utilization), but that doesn’t always happen. There are times when you won’t be making any money, as shown below.

You are not paid for the following:

  • Waiting for a Ride Request
  • Driving to Pick-up a Passenger
  • Waiting at the Pick-up Point for Your Passenger

Are there any driver expenses?

GoVetted Drivers are 1099 Independent Contractors, meaning you are responsible for all of your own expenses. Fortunately, there are not a lot of costs to getting started and once you are driving, taking care of your car may be your only real expense.

Are drivers responsible for gas and maintenance?

Since you’re going to be driving a lot of miles, your biggest cost as a Driver will be fuel. Most new Drivers are surprised at just how many miles they’ll put on their car, but to give you a good estimate, a full-time Driver doing 40-50 hours a week will probably put on 1,000 miles a week on their car.

That’s one of the reasons you see so many Toyota Prius’ driving around, but you don’t have to drive a Prius in order to be a profitable Driver. Any fuel efficient 4-door sedan will work on GoVetted, and sometimes passengers enjoy not riding in a Prius.

When are GoVetted drivers paid?

Some jobs pay monthly, some jobs pay bi-weekly, but GoVetted actually pays you every single week via direct deposit!

IMPORTANT: GoVetted does NOT issue physical checks. Direct deposit is the only method of receiving a paycheck.

The GoVetted Pay Period begins on Monday at 4 AM and ends on Monday at 3:59 AM.

You will receive an email at the end of each pay period with a link to your pay statement from the week prior. You can also log in to your Partner Dashboard at Drivers.GoVetted.com and click on PAY STATEMENTS on the left-hand side to see each weekly statement.

Your earnings are provided via direct deposit into your bank account every Thursday.

What happens if a passenger damages my vehicle?

If a passenger damages the interior of your vehicle while in transport, GoVetted will reimburse you up to $200 per incident. This includes cleaning costs due to vomiting and other accidents. Reimbursement occurs once the following is submitted:

  • Photos taken within 30 minutes of mishap.
  • Time-stamped cleaning receipt from an established company with a physical address and business license.
  • Handwritten receipts will NOT be accepted.

Are drivers considered employees of GoVetted?

No. GoVetted was created by a Driver for Drivers. Our mission is paying you like a professional while helping you start a legitimate business. Our proprietary revenue sharing program, GoVested, allows you to earn residual income from every driver you bring onto the platform. All payments will go through the app, and percentages vary based on levels achieved by you and your drivers.

As a 1099 contractor, you have the freedom to work whenever and wherever you want. We will never set your schedule and will alert you, via text and through the app, during busy times if you opt-in for these types of notifications.

More than other ridesharing companies, a large portion of our business comes from airport trips. These tend to be higher priced runs with the benefit of bigger tips. Because of this, we have tools in place to assist you with making these trips successful. For example, customer service is critical during these trips, much more than driving someone home after a night on the town. Luggage count is important, so pay special attention to this data when accepting a run to ensure your vehicle can handle the customer’s bags.
